Abstract

The investigation on maritime trade activities is imperative to comprehend the commercial contact, commercial commodities, trade guilds, interrelation, interconnection between far off Nations social and cultural changes in transoceanic trade with Tamils particularly Coromandel Coast. The maritime trade activities and the role of trade guilds played a vital role for the commercial relations as well as for political, social interactions economic development of the States. In spite of the fact that the ancient maritime trade couldn't make major political limits however it could shape social, economic and cultural contacts. The connection between the ancient Tamils with Roman, Greek, Egypt and later on Mediterranean, Southwest and Southeast Asian Nations show its verifiable relevance over the Coromandel Coast examines, the current study centres about the Maritime activities of ancient Tamils and its associations with the nautical nations Rome, Greek, Egypt and later on Mediterranean, Southwest and Southeast Asian Nations and so on.
